John Deere, Giants Software release Farming Simulator Kids game

Mar 26, 2024

Children around the globe can now interact with John Deere equipment in a safe and educational way through a video game, Farming Simulator Kids, which launched globally by publisher and developer Giants Software.

The launch of Farming Simulator Kids expands the family-friendly gaming universe of the Farming Simulator series introducing a younger audience to farming, nature, and for the next three years -- exclusively John Deere equipment.

  • In the game kids can operate a variety of John Deere equipment as they explore farm locations to grow and harvest crops and care for cows, chickens, and geese.
  • Educating and entertaining them in a child-friendly environment, the gameplay focuses on audiovisual presentation instead of text.
  • The boxed version of Farming Simulator Kids comes with a 12-page coloring book filled with tractors, horses, geese, and other characters they meet and interact with in the game.

"We recognized the growing online involvement of children and identified a need within the younger demographic,” Brooke Schmidt, global licensing category manager, explained. “The game imparts knowledge about food and equipment, serving as an introduction to younger children, and highlights the significance of agriculture. The future of the agricultural industry hinges on the upcoming generation of innovators, communicators, producers, educators, and leaders.”

Farming Simulator Kids is available for Nintendo Switch, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices via the Nintendo eShop, in the App Store and on Google Play. Visit the official Farming Simulator website and the GIANTS Software press area for more information.
